Ingredients

4 hard boiled eggs, peeled and cooled

4 ounces thinly sliced cooked low-fat ham

2 tablespoons light mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 tablespoon yellow or Dijon-style mustard

2 whole wheat bagels or large whole wheat pita round breads

Instructions 

Step 1:

Put the eggs on the cutting board and use the sharp knife to cut the eggs into small pieces. Place the chopped eggs into a bowl.

Step 2:

Put the ham on the cutting board and use the sharp knife to cut the ham into small pieces. Add the ham, mayonnaise, and mustard to the chopped eggs in the bowl. Use the wooden spoon to stir the egg mixture until mixed.

Step 3:

Put the bagels on the cutting board and carefully use the sharp knife to cut each bagel in half. Top each bagel with 1/3 cup of the egg mixture. 

If using pita bread rounds, place them on the cutting board and use the sharp knife to cut each pita bread round in half crosswise. Using your fingers, carefully split open each half to form a pocket. Spoon 1/3 cup of the egg mixture into each pita pocket.
